What is ProCell Microchanneling?
Microchanneling keeps your skin looking and feeling younger by activating your skin’s natural regenerative capabilities of tightening and lifting skin, while also minimizing many skin problems.
Microchanneling stimulates the skin to produce new healthier skin rather than using destructive and inflammatory techniques like many other more invasive aesthetic treatments.
Microchanneling can also improve the overall health of the skin for new collagen production.
Improves the appearance of:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Sun damage
- Acne scars
- Overall skin texture
- Helps firm, tighten, and tone skin
Human Growth Factors applied to the skin mimic the effect of having more youthful stem cells. Procell serums contain growth factors retrieved from human bone marrow, which generates a potent anti-inflammatory effect. This reduces healing time, and can help improve the appearance of hyperpigmentation and scarring. These growth factors support cellular skin renewal and have strong regenerating properties to improve skin firmness, elasticity, texture, and tone. This can diminish the look of scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, leaving the skin looking and feeling bright and healthy.
How does ProCell work?
The ProCell system uses a treatment head covered in thin, sterile needles to create tiny microchannels on the surface of your skin. As the device passes over your facial skin, it creates thousands of these channels.
Your body perceives each of these as an injury and rushes to defend that injury with new cell production. New collagen cells are produced to repair the “damaged” tissues. This creates a new layer of cells that plump and softens your skin.
It’s important to avoid sun exposure for 48 hours before your appointment. You’ll also need to remove any makeup or skin care products before your treatment begins.
A minor degree of swelling and redness is normal in the hours after your session, but you can apply makeup within an hour or two, and there is no lingering discomfort.
How are stem cells used in ProCell microchanneling?
Incorporating stem cells into ProCell microchanneling is a great way to take advantage of all those microchannels. Stem cells are a special type of cell that can differentiate into other types of cells, enhancing your results. They are also rich in growth factors, special proteins that hasten new cell production.
ProCell uses a serum formulated from human stem cell-derived growth factors. Made from human bone marrow, this serum helps your body quickly and efficiently create new collagen. The serum also contains a synthetic form of hyaluronic acid, a substance that can retain significant water, which is critical to soft, smooth, plump skin.
